Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, received a high-level delegation from the federal government led by the Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Maigari Ahmadu. The delegation included members of the National Assembly, the MD/CEO of the North-East Development Commission (NEDC), Mohammed Goni Alkali, board members, Executive Directors and senior officials.
The purpose of the visit was to inaugurate and hand over significant projects in the state, showcasing the commission’s commitment to driving development and progress in the region.
Governor Buni, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Mallam Wali, commended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for supporting the commission in bringing laudable projects to Yobe State.
He reiterated that the present administration under Governor Mai Mala Buni was aware of the establishment of the NEDC, which was primarily to address humanitarian and development challenges in the North East region.
The commissioning of these projects marks a significant milestone in the state’s development journey, and the governor expressed gratitude to the federal government for its support.
