Key Details for Visitors to the Bray Air Display 2025
The Bray Air Display 2025 is set to take place on Saturday, August 2, at Bray Seafront, promising an exciting day of entertainment for all ages. Organisers are encouraging visitors to plan ahead to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. The event will kick off with a range of activities starting from noon, including a funfair and various stalls. The main air display acts are expected to begin around 3:00pm, depending on weather and operational conditions.
To help manage the event efficiently, several temporary road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place. Those planning to travel by car should be aware of these changes and consider using public transport where possible.
Road Closures and Restrictions
From early morning on Saturday, August 2, the following roads will be closed:
- Strand Road
- Albert Avenue
- Sidmonton Avenue
- Convent Avenue
- Seapoint Road
- Putland Road up to the first junction on Newcourt Road
Access to Strand Road will be fully restricted from 10am, including for residents and businesses. Parking on Strand Road will not be allowed from 7am, and any vehicles parked illegally or left overnight will be towed. Deliveries to businesses along Strand Road and adjoining roads must be completed before 10am.
Parking Information
Event car parks will open at 10 am, and pre-booking is mandatory. Attendees are strongly advised to book online in advance and arrive before 2 pm, as parking is only guaranteed up to that time.
The south car park (Ardmore Rovers) is designated for traffic coming from Wicklow/Wexford via the N11. The north car park (Colaiste Raithin) is for those traveling from Dublin/North Leinster via the M50 or N11. A complimentary shuttle service will run from the south car park to the event site, with the last pick-up at 7:30pm. All car parks will close at 8pm, and the event site will close at 10pm. Overnight parking is not permitted and will result in towing.
Pre-booking for parking is required and can be done at brayairdisplay.com/parking2025/. Access to the car parks is not guaranteed after 2pm.
Public Transport Options
Bray has a well-connected public transport network, making it easy for visitors to reach the event from both north and south. Travelers can use the Bray Dar or the mainline Iarnród Éireann rail network, which connects to Connolly Station in Dublin city centre.
Five bus companies operate through Bray, including Dublin Bus, Go-Ahead Ireland, Bus Éireann, Finnegan’s Bray, and St Kevin’s Bus Service to Glendalough. Bus Éireann’s Route 131, connecting Wicklow Town and Bray, will run as usual. However, there may be diversions on some routes, such as the L14 Palermo to Southern Cross Road.
Iarnród Éireann will offer additional DART services to and from Bray on the event day, although bicycles will not be allowed. Dublin Bus will also provide enhanced services on routes 145 and 155 from Dublin City Centre.
