Blake Shelton Updates on Struggling Oklahoma Ranch After Tough Year

Blake Shelton
is the proud owner of a massive ranch in
Oklahoma
where he enjoys spending his downtime. However, he hasn’t been immune to rough weather and its effects on his massive property.

The country star,
whose new album has been earning praise
, earned
backlash at the American Music Awards
for his pre-taped performance, which came as many
examined his body language
amid rumors his marriage to Gwen Stefani was on the rocks.

However, while he and Stefani seem to have since reassured fans their marriage is on solid ground, the same can’t be said about his beloved ranch property.

The singer has owned the property, located in Tishomingo, for more than a decade, and it served as the location of his and Stefani’s 2021 nuptials.

However, the 1300-acre property has been suffering recently due to intense weather in the state.

In a video shared to
Instagram
, the singer shared an update with fans where he revealed that rainy weather had gotten the best of him on the ranch, and led to a snag as he headed out to spray his sweet corn crop.

“About to do a little spraying in my sweetcorn. Got all my stuff loaded up there in the orange Kubota, and man, it’s been one of those years in Oklahoma,” he said in the clip. “It’s been awesome, but man, we’ve had a lot of rain, and areas that look dry, even though they look dry, they’re saturated.”

He then panned the camera down to the ground, showing some deep track marks in the grass, as he revealed that when he tried to drive through the mud, the Kubota got stuck and ended up “sinking” into the ground.

He shared he was able to have some success getting out of the situation, as he was able to pull the vehicle out by hitting the gas pedal and utilizing his four-wheel drive.

The property is one that, while he owned it before marrying Stefani, has become a piece of pride for the couple, who have renovated it over the years to add a chapel where they said their vows, and areas to raise animals.

They do not live in it full-time.

The couple, along with Stefani’s three children from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale-Kingston, 19, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11-split their time between the ranch and Los Angeles.

They own a sprawling $14 million mansion in Encino, in the San Fernando Valley area of the city.
