BELLINGHAM, Mass. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a crash in Bellingham left a 60-year-old bicyclist dead Monday afternoon,
according to police
.
Police responded to the area of 120 South Main Street around 12:45 p.m. and found the Woonsocket man critically injured.
Bellingham Fire crews provided medical care at the scene before he was taken to Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly remained at the scene, was evaluated, and taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
Police said the driver, a juvenile from Sutton, will be charged with motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation.
