Everything in life is better when you have a bestie by your side, and I’m not just talking about a traditional friend circle. Siblings come in clutch for so many reasons. They’re like a live-in support system, play pal, and snuggle monster all wrapped up into one, and can be a great teacher of navigating life.
This is exactly why
Basset Hound
, Bobo, is having a ball these days. His tiny new puppy sister, Bayley, is a bundle of joy no one can resist, not even him. The thrilled big brother loves showering her with all the kisses, and she’ll happily accept them!
As you can see in this throwback clip shared by @gemelini2021, Bobo takes his
role as the oldest
seriously, as he should. It’s a big responsibility to care for a puppy, and the dedicated Basset Hound doesn’t want to let little sis down.
The gentle boy understands the assignment and puts his best paw forward. Thank goodness the good boy was caught on camera!
It’s only been a couple of days since

‘ TikTok debut, but they’re already making a splash. Though Bayley is bigger now, we love seeing how adorably small she was way back when. As explained, she’s
the Basset
brother’s biological sister, making their bond that much better.

Even the best-tempered
puppies
are a lot of work, so it helps having everyone chip in to care for them. Bobo knew this immediately and jumped at the chance to clock in. There may be
sibling rivalry
at some point, but for now, it’s pure love.
Along with joining a loving family ready to spoil the new pup, Bayley also made a connection with the resident
cat siblings
, Gines and Hops. The whole scene is something out of
a Disney movie
and I can’t get enough!
Basset Hounds
are sweet, laid-back, and affectionate dogs who are very loyal to their people — and their fur siblings. Gifting Bobo with his baby sister sure is a great reminder that life is short, so it’s important to be present in the moment to take in all those precious memories as they happen. The good news is, now that Bayley is bigger, on even ground with Bobo, the fun is bigger, too!
