The Goethe-Institut Namibia has issued a call for applications from local artists for a six-month residency program in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The residency is scheduled to run from March to August 2026.
According to the Institut, the programme is open to artists across a diverse range of disciplines, including visual and performing arts, music, sound, design, literature, and art education. Interested artists must submit their applications by the deadline of 8 July.
“The two artists will be selected to live and work in Baden-Wurttemberg together, creating space for mutual support and exchange,” they said.
They explained that the residency programme provides the possibility to engage artistically with different cultural communities in Baden-Wurttemberg, to exchange skills for transdisciplinary production. “It encloses events such as reading, exhibitions, discussions and workshops as a form of output,” they concluded.
The Institut is collaborating with Akademie Schloss Solitude and the National Art Gallery of Namibia.
