(KRQE) – A jury has convicted a man who raped a woman and kept her locked in his garage. Celso Montaño has faced rape charges dating back to the 1990s but Wednesday was the first time he was convicted.
In 2012, he was charged with raping four women but pleaded down to a misdemeanor charge. and in 2019, he was connected to a rape kit from 2009, but that case was dismissed due to the victim passing away. This latest case happened in 2022. Montano faces up to 52 years in prison for Wednesday’s conviction.
