  • Kenyans have been left heartbroken after learning touching details about the late X influencer Albert Ojwang and his young family, following his tragic death.

When did Ojwang get married?

According to a report by Daily Nation, Ojwang had just recently introduced his wife, Nevinina Onyango, to his parents, a gesture that marked a major step in solidifying their union.

The traditional Luo introduction took place in April 2025, just two months before his untimely passing.

Ojwang travelled to his rural home in Kakoth village, Homa Bay County, where he formally presented Nevinina to his parents, Meshack and Eucabeth Opiyo.

The event was a cultural milestone, deeply rooted in Luo traditions.

After the introduction, Ojwang transitioned into his role as a family man and welcomed Nevinina into his simba, a traditional house built for a bachelor within the parents’ homestead.

The couple moved into the simba and made it their first home together.

Ojwang then renovated the house to suit his new bride, creating a warm space for their young family.

A source close to .co.ke also revealed that the simba was not just a makeshift shelter, but a structure Ojwang had built three years earlier while working as a teacher in Voi.

Albert and Nevinina were also parents to a young son, Myles Omondi, who was only three years old when he lost his father.

The heartbreaking timeline, from the introduction in April to Ojwang’s death just two months later, has stirred sorrow online, with many Kenyans mourning not just his loss, but also the loss of a man who had just begun to fully embrace family life.
