An engaging and thought-provoking group exhibition titled AESTHETE has recently opened at La Galerie, located within the Alliance Francaise de Dhaka (AFD). The inauguration ceremony was graced by several notable figures in the art world. Professor Emeritus of Dhaka University, Rafiqun Nabi, served as the chief guest, while art connoisseur Raquib Mohammad Fakhrul and renowned artist Ranjit Das were present as special guests. Their presence underscored the importance of the event and highlighted the growing interest in contemporary art in Bangladesh.
Curated with the intention of reflecting the evolving artistic landscape of the country, AESTHETE features nearly 33 paintings and sculptures. These artworks explore a variety of themes, including nature, folk traditions, socio-political realities, and modern life.
