Aasif Khan Shares Health Update After Hospitalization
Actor Aasif Khan, known for his roles in popular web series like Panchayat and Paatal Lok, recently shared an update on his health after being hospitalized due to a medical issue. He has now been discharged and is recovering well. In a recent statement, he reassured fans that his condition was not as severe as initially reported. Aasif clarified that he did not suffer a heart attack, as some rumors had suggested.
The 34-year-old actor explained that while the symptoms resembled those of a heart attack, they were actually caused by a digestive disorder. During a conversation with a media outlet, Aasif revealed that he was diagnosed with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). He mentioned that he is now feeling much better and is following a treatment plan to aid his recovery.
“I want to clarify—it was not a heart attack. It was gastroesophageal reflux disease. The symptoms felt like a heart attack, but I’m totally fit,” Aasif said. He added that doctors have advised him to make some lifestyle changes, including dietary adjustments and regular exercise. “I’ve been told to stop eating dal baati, limit my non-veg, and work out more. I don’t think it should impact my work. Something or the other happens in everyone’s life. People move on.”
Earlier this week, there were reports online suggesting that the actor had suffered a cardiac arrest. To address these concerns, Aasif shared an update on Instagram, informing his followers about his health. “Over the past few hours, I’ve been dealing with some health issues that required hospitalisation. I’m grateful to share that I’m now on the road to recovery and feeling much better. I truly appreciate all the love, concern, and well-wishes. Your support means the world to me. I’ll be back very soon. Until then, thank you for keeping me in your thoughts,” he wrote.
In another post, Aasif reflected on the unpredictability of life. “Life is short, don’t take a single day for granted. Everything can change in a moment. Be grateful for all you have and cherish those who matter most,” he shared.
