Recruitment Notification for Apprentice Positions at Airport Authority of India
The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has recently announced a recruitment drive for apprentice positions. This initiative aims to fill a total of 197 vacancies across three categories: ITI apprentice, diploma apprentice, and graduate apprentice. The training program is set to last for a duration of 12 months, providing participants with valuable hands-on experience in their respective fields.
The application process has already commenced and will continue until August 11. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online through the official AAI website, aai.aero. This opportunity is open to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria outlined by the authority.
Educational Qualifications and Age Limits
Each category of apprentice has specific educational requirements. Graduate and diploma apprentices must hold a four-year full-time degree or a three-year engineering diploma in a relevant field. For ITI apprentices, the requirement includes a certificate issued by the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) in the relevant trade.
Regarding age limits, the minimum age for all applicants is 18 years, while the maximum age is 26 years. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.
Selection Process and Stipend Details
The selection process is based entirely on merit. A merit list will be prepared considering the marks obtained in the candidates’ educational qualifications. Those shortlisted will be required to undergo document verification. Following this, all eligible candidates will proceed to a medical examination to ensure they meet the health standards necessary for the role.
Once selected, apprentices will receive a monthly stipend during their one-year training period. The stipend amounts vary based on the category:
- ITI apprentices will receive Rs 9,000 per month.
- Diploma apprentices will get Rs 12,000 per month.
- Graduate apprentices will be given Rs 15,000 per month.
This financial support is intended to assist apprentices during their training and help them focus on gaining essential skills and knowledge.
