A woman thinks her infant was divinely blessed when an unusual object showed up in her ultrasound image.
The 32-week scan seems to depict a big hand gently stroking the developing child’s head inside the uterus.
Amanda Foster, aged 33, who is eight months into her pregnancy carrying a boy, mentioned that she prays “repeatedly for the Lord to protect my child” before each doctor’s visit since doctors detected a heart issue during the early stages of her pregnancy.
There was an issue with the wall dividing sections of the heart close to the aorta, the major vessel responsible for transporting blood from the heart to the rest of the body.
can be life-threatening.
The ultrasound has become an internet sensation, with people describing the image as ‘remarkable’ and ‘a wonder.’
Others
suggests that it might be the fetus’s hand, which appears larger and more deformed due to the ultrasound process.
However, Foster and her spouse, Kyle, think it was divine intervention safeguarding their child following the medical emergency.
‘
We prayed and prayed
Along with several others, when we consulted a specialist, it had disappeared,” Foster shared.

‘I have felt immense gratitude that I now start each meeting with prayer.’
Foster’s path, nevertheless, started when she was merely 17 years old.
She carried her first child, a boy, who was found to have Potter’s syndrome during the 18-week scan. This disorder happens when the fetus’s kidneys fail to develop correctly or are absent altogether.
This issue impedes lung growth and limits the fetus’s positioning inside the uterus, leading to characteristics such as a flat facial structure, underdeveloped ears, and abnormalities in the limbs.
Due to these issues, Potter syndrome is regarded as a fatal condition, resulting in Foster losing her firstborn infant.
Foster recounted, “At that moment, I thought, ‘If God plans to take my son, He’ll have to take me as well!'”
It did not turn out as expected, and I ended up feeling intense resentment and anger towards God. To make matters worse, I was informed that having a healthy baby boy was highly improbable, as Potter’s syndrome tends to be more prevalent in males.
Foster and Kyle later had the joy of welcoming two healthy girls into their lives.
Although she was thrilled about becoming a mother, she felt like she was ‘overwhelmed with rage, suffering, mental confusion, and torment.’
“I never questioned the reality of God; I simply wanted nothing to do with Him due to His actions toward me,” stated Foster.
I experienced a highly tumultuous and unhappy phase in my life for some time. Eventually, I lost all hope. Feeling exhausted and utterly shattered, I surrendered my existence to Jesus Christ in September 2021.
Foster stated that from that point onward, her whole life improved significantly, and by November, she found out she was expecting.
In March 2022, I learned that he was a healthy little boy! Now, he’s nearly three years old! Moving ahead to today, I discovered that I am expecting another baby boy, and this pregnancy has come with its share of challenges and joys,” she shared.
She brought along her younger daughter, Bailey, to the ultrasound appointment, where Bailey was the first one to notice the large hand covering what would be her soon-to-be baby brother’s face.
Reflecting increasingly on the ultrasound moved me to tears and overwhelmed me with gratitude for everything God has done and keeps doing for me, Foster stated.
