Coastal Vibes: Jeeping Revitalizes Long Beach Community

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WLOX) – The yearly late spring surge known as Jeepin the Coast has become a significant boon for local Long Beach enterprises.

A large number of the many Jeep enthusiasts will head over to Keith Starita’s Coastal Daiquiri Bar and Grill, which is now recognized as the epicenter for Jeeping activities.

“Starita mentioned that it takes approximately two months to prepare for this.”

Although Jeepin the Coast events occur throughout the region, Long Beach went above and beyond to welcome the Jeep enthusiasts with open arms. Alderman Patrick Bennett considers it one of his most anticipated occasions of the year.

I’ve got three children, we take them along, and then step back,” Bennett mentioned. “We form a band; we block the street to ensure safety. It turns out to be such an enjoyable gathering for our family.

A few years back, Starita along with his daughter launched the restaurant and bar from the ground up. This place has transformed into a haven for Jeep enthusiasts annually during late May and early June, significantly contributing to the swift expansion of his enterprise.

“It attracts many individuals from across the nation, giving them an opportunity to experience what Long Beach is really like,” Starita stated.

Similar to the city’s entrance, Jeeping along the coast acts as a welcoming preview of the local community. What began as visits for events have transformed into routine journeys for jeep enthusiasts.

“What I’ve observed is that regardless of whether it’s Jeepin season or not, throughout the year, whenever you pass many of our eateries, members of the Jeepin community can often be found nearby,” Bennett stated.

“Over this last weekend, around 50 or 60Jeeps traveled here from Louisiana simply to socialize,”Starita mentioned.“It’s as though they have taken us under their wing, which would be an apt way to describe it.”

While exploring the coast during Jeepin, Jeff Davis Avenue and its vicinity teem with people. These throngs hold the possibility of drawing fresh advancements to the town.

“I’ve spoken with many individuals who take trips like these, and frequently they decide to retire and relocate here,” Bennett stated.

Long Beach is experiencing rapid growth at the moment,” Starita stated. “Houses and new enterprises are being developed, so many things are currently taking place in Long Beach.

Set, ready, go: The coastal Jeep adventure begins Wednesday and runs for five consecutive days.

If you’ve never experienced Jeeping along the coast, it’s definitely worthwhile to come here just to witness it,” Starita stated. “You all are going to have an amazing time.

Two major attractions at Jeepin the Coast are the “Beach Crawl” and the Jeep Parade, taking place on Saturday in Long Beach.
