The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) labeled Murphy as an “activist” judge.
The individual in question was an undocumented immigrant who received withholding of removal to Guatemala. Instead, he was deported to Mexico, which served as a safer alternative country for his asylum application,” stated Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at DHS.
