WESTFIELD, Indiana — Two siblings have been taken into custody on suspicion of engaging in drug trafficking within Hamilton County.
As reported by the Westfield Police Department, on July 10, the WPD’s Special Investigations Unit initiated an inquiry into brothers Anthony and Alexander Castillo from Indianapolis.
A police officer stopped Anthony, a 22-year-old man, while he was driving from Indianapolis to Westfield on July 10. A drug-sniffing dog indicated the presence of illegal substances, leading to a vehicle inspection.
Police discovered one ounce of psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, and a handgun equipped with an extended magazine.
After the traffic stop, SIU secured a search warrant for the Castillos’ apartment in Indianapolis and found the following:
- 11 lbs. of marijuana
- 1.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms
- A bottle of Promethazine
- A small quantity of cocaine
- Hundreds of THC products
- A fully loaded revolver and an AR-style handgun
- Approximately $5,000 in cash

On July 16, a search warrant was issued for Alexander, and with assistance from the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, Hamilton County officers apprehended him on Tuesday.
As per the Hamilton County Jail Records, Anthony was incarcerated on July 10 — the same day law enforcement initiated their inquiry into the siblings.
Anthony Castillo is being charged with the following:
- Two instances of a Level 2 Felony involving the distribution of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
- Two instances of a Level 2 Felony involving the distribution of a controlled substance
- Level 5 Crime: Selling Marijuana Exceeding 10 Pounds
Alexander Castillo is being charged with the following:
- Second Degree Felony Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
- Second Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Third-Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Level 5 Crime: Selling Marijuana Exceeding 10 Pounds
