All Welcome to Hometown Mercy Mosque Halal Fest: Fun, Food, and Culture

HOMETOWN, IL — Attend theMercy Mosque of HometownFor a grand celebration featuring food, entertainment, and cultural diversity this Saturday, July 26. Halal Fest will take place from noon until 6 p.m. at 8925 S. Kostner Ave.

A family-oriented event offers tasty Halal cuisine, thrilling entertainment, cultural displays, and delectable desserts for sale. Children’s activities include rides, a petting zoo, and pony rides.

Admission is complimentary, though there is a minor charge for the rides, ponies, and other activities. The Halal Fest is organized by the mosque and theAmerican Halal Institutewhere Muslim and non-Muslim neighbors can “gather together, celebrate differences, and take pleasure in the atmosphere of unity, thankfulness, and happiness.”
