CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The newly opened Bass Pro Shops in Clifton Park will welcome customers on July 30. NEWS10 got a sneak peek at the store as it prepares for the official opening.
The head of operations outlined what guests can look forward to during the grand opening event and how it relates to environmental protection initiatives in the region.
What they can look forward to is a full immersion in the natural surroundings,” said General Manager Bryan Lalone. “To have the opportunity to come in, shop, and witness all the wonderful activities happening while also contributing to conservation efforts.
The official opening is being held as an “Evening of Conservation,” with 20 percent of each dollar spent on most products going to local environmental groups. Furthermore, there will be a multi-day event including visits from famous anglers and hunters, conservation experts, kid-friendly activities, prize draws, and other attractions.
The celebrations start at 5 p.m. on July 30 with a concert from country artist Blaine Holcomb. Visitors will have access to the store following the 6 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.
