Smart Storage Hack for Small Kitchen Appliances

I believe we’ve already confirmed that I’m a huge fan of the Instant Pot. I could keep talking about all the reasons I love mine, but to keep it short, I’ll just direct you tothis postwhere I have already done so! 🙂

A frequent issue I come across from individuals thinking about purchasing an Instant Pot (or any similar small kitchen gadget) is, “But where will I put it?” Most of us face a restricted amount of storage in our kitchens, and appliances can occupy a significant portion of the space in your cabinets or pantry.

But in today’s post, I have a revolutionary tip to share with you that can make storing your Instant Pot and other small appliances much easier. I recently began using this storage trick in my own kitchen, and my only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner!

Storage Tip: Keep Compact Devices on Wheels

Numerous people keep their small kitchen gadgets in a dim and messy cabinet. A major issue with this approach is that you frequently have to remove multiple devices to access the one you want, and then need to put them all back again. However, you can significantly reduce the hassle—and even prevent back strain—by keeping your small appliances on wheels!

Approximately $20 will get you a purchase ofa set of three rolling plant standsthat will make it significantly simpler to reach your small appliances, such as your Instant Pot, air fryer, ice cream maker, electric juicer, slow cooker, and others!

Rather than crouching down to search through your appliances, you can simply roll the one you need from its storage spot. Alternatively, even more conveniently, you can use your foot to move, pull, or reposition your wheeled appliances—no need to bend or crawl!

Maximize the Potential of Your Pantry

This clever storage idea simplifies both cooking and meal preparation, while also addressing the challenge of making the most of that awkward area at the bottom of your pantry. I usually try to keep food out of that spot because it often collects dirt, dust, and pet hair, but it’s ideal for organizing your appliances, especially since the wheels on the plant stands help keep them elevated off the floor.

You might also discover that keeping your small appliances on rolling plant stands increases the chances of you using them. Since I started using this storage tip in my kitchen, my set of small appliances has definitely been used more often (which means I’ve finally gotten a well-earned break!) 🙂

There is a wide variety of plant stands and caddies available, so you should not have difficulty finding ones that suit your specific collection of appliances. For larger appliances (such as an 8-quart Instant Pot, for instance), look forflat plant holders without a raised edgeor the lip around the edge.
