JP Richards and Keri Moore to Leave Lionsgate’s Film Division

Leadership Changes at Lionsgate Motion Picture Group

JP Richards and Keri Moore, who have served as heads of marketing for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, are set to leave the company. Their departures mark a significant shift in the leadership structure of one of Hollywood’s most prominent studios. The roles they held will not be immediately filled, signaling a period of transition and reevaluation within the organization.

Amanda Kozlowski, executive strategy and chief of staff; Jack Teed, executive vice president of global creative advertising; and Nasim Cambron, executive vice president of worldwide publicity, are expected to take on expanded responsibilities. They will lead global campaigns for the studio’s theatrical release slate, with Adam Fogelson, chair of the Motion Picture Group, assuming a more active role in overseeing the department.

Fogelson shared his perspective on the changes, stating, “In looking at our slate ahead, we have decided to reapproach our marketing group to meet the needs of a rapidly changing market. As we redefine the way we explore our campaigns, JP Richards and Keri Moore will be transitioning from their roles at the studio. I’m deeply proud of both JP and Keri, who have grown with and alongside me in their careers.”

Background and Contributions

In October 2022, Lionsgate appointed Richards as president of worldwide theatrical marketing after he previously served as head of film marketing at Apple TV+. The studio also hired Keri Moore, a former executive from STX Films, as co-president of marketing for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. Together, Richards and Moore worked closely with Fogelson to oversee marketing and strategy for high-profile releases such as John Wick: Chapter 4, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and Now You See Me 3.

Lionsgate has an exciting lineup of upcoming projects, including The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which is about to go into production, The Long Walk, based on Stephen King’s first-written novel and directed by Francis Lawrence, and The Strangers – Chapter 2, a sequel to last year’s hit.

Personal Reflections from Richards and Moore

Richards expressed gratitude for his time at Lionsgate, saying, “The last three years have been some of the most deeply rewarding of my life. I got to reunite with my mentor and friend Adam, dive into the heart of the work with the fearless Keri, and create alongside the most innovative, forward-thinking, generation-defying, TikTok-genius, and above all, genuinely kind team in the business. We dreamed big, pushed boundaries, and had a lot of fun doing it, and I can’t wait to see what they do next!”

Moore also shared her thoughts, stating, “There is literally no one other than Adam Fogelson that I would have agreed to traverse the entirety of Los Angeles for each day. It has been a wild and remarkable few years.”

Looking Ahead

These leadership changes come amid broader shifts within Lionsgate, as the studio continues to adapt to evolving industry dynamics. With new leaders stepping into key roles, the focus will likely remain on innovation, strategic marketing, and maintaining the studio’s reputation for producing compelling and commercially successful films.

As the Motion Picture Group moves forward, the impact of Richards and Moore’s contributions will undoubtedly be felt, and their legacy will shape the direction of future campaigns. The coming months will be crucial in determining how these changes influence Lionsgate’s position in the competitive landscape of Hollywood.
