Foodie Paradise

One of the most anticipated aspects of the Ohio State Fair is its incredible selection of food. The fair features over 134 food vendor locations, offering a wide range of options from classic favorites to innovative creations.

New Food Avenue, now in its second year, showcases eight unique food spots. Highlights include buckeye lemonade, deep-fried savory tacos, and sweet gluten-free donuts. This area is located between the Main Street Stage and the Mountain Dew Midway, making it a central hub for food lovers.

In addition to New Food Avenue, other vendors across the fairgrounds will present both new dishes and traditional favorites. Schmidt’s, the longest-running vendor at the fair, is collaborating again this year to offer a special cream puff flavor. This year’s highlight is the caramel apple cream puff, which combines caramelly-apple filling with small apple chunks and a caramel drizzle.

For those eager to try multiple foods, July 24 and July 31 are great days to visit. On these days, mini versions of popular fair treats, such as funnel cakes, fries, mini donuts, lemonade, corndogs, bourbon chicken, and deep-fried items, are available for just $3 each.

Special Features and Highlights

This year, the fair introduces 31 new food items, 20 foods on a stick, and 57 varieties of deep-fried dishes. These offerings ensure that there is something for every taste and preference.

Additionally, the fair continues to focus on sustainability efforts, incorporating green initiatives that promote environmental responsibility. These efforts reflect the fair’s commitment to preserving the environment while providing an enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular attendee, the Ohio State Fair offers a unique blend of excitement, culture, and community spirit. With its diverse array of activities and delicious food, it’s no wonder this event remains a cherished summer tradition in Ohio.
