James Gunn’s Superman has continued to show strong performance at the box office in India, maintaining a steady flow of earnings despite a slight decline on weekdays. On Wednesday, the film added an estimated Rs 2.02 crore to its domestic total, bringing the overall India net collection to approximately Rs 33.62 crore across all languages.
Indian Box Office Performance
The film had a promising start with an impressive Rs 26 crore collected over its debut weekend. However, the numbers saw a dip on Monday, where it earned around Rs 2.6 crore. Despite this, the movie has managed to maintain a consistent pace, earning an estimated Rs 3 crore on Tuesday and Rs 2.02 crore on Wednesday.

International Box Office Performance
Internationally, Superman is showing strong potential for another successful weekend. The superhero film, which debuted with a collection of $125 million in North America, earned an estimated $12.9 million on Monday and followed up with $17.1 million on Tuesday. This made it the biggest first Tuesday of 2025 so far. With these figures, the North American total has reached $155 million in just five days, and it is expected to surpass $175 million by the end of the first week.
Globally, the film starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan has grossed over $270 million, with approximately $115 million coming from overseas markets. It is anticipated that the film will cross the $300 million milestone before the end of its first week.
Box Office Clash
Trade analysts predict that Superman will retain the number one spot at the global box office during its second weekend, with earnings estimated between $55 million and $62 million. The film will face some competition from the Hollywood children’s film ‘The Smurfs’. However, the real challenge will come on July 25 with the release of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’.
