Gabriel’s wife, Trottie, played by Polly Walker, runs a neighboring wallpaper shop. Their marriage is one of convenience, but they share a deep bond. The couple takes in Jack Blunt, a former prisoner, who becomes an assistant in the bookshop and soon gets involved in Gabriel’s detective work alongside Nora, a war orphan.

The Cast of “Bookish”

Mark Gatiss plays Gabriel Book, showcasing his versatility as an actor and screenwriter.
