A BRADFORD city centre car park has received a prestigious award.
Park Mark Plus is a “new and comprehensive assessment to demonstrate the highest quality of today’s modern car parks in services, operations, design and build”.
It is given to parking facilities that have achieved the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police and the British Parking Association.
The Broadway’s car park wins award
The car parking facilities at The Broadway are the first in the area to achieve the accolade.
Judges said the car park hit the mark when it came to a wide range of responsibilities, such as having low crime and measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
It also met the Park Access criteria for disabled parking accessibility and environmental credentials.

Rob White, parking and transport partnership manager at The Broadway, said: “This is such a huge achievement for the centre, being the only car park in Bradford to have achieved this standard.
“Other things the award highlights include good management and operations and exemplary customer experience, something we work hard to achieve every day.
“We remain dedicated to creating an enhanced experience starting from the moment visitors enter the car park.
“Customers can pay in advance through our ‘scan, pay, drive away’ QR system to speed up the process at the barriers and we offer a wide range of season tickets to suit all.”
