The Birmingham Police Department’s Special Enforcement Division made 50 arrests during the week of June 23 to June 29, 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to reduce crime and improve the quality of life in the city.
The arrests included 26 felony charges and 24 misdemeanors. Officers also seized 12 firearms, conducted 119 traffic stops, and issued 100 citations. Additionally, two noise ordinance violations were recorded, and 10 vehicles were impounded, including one stolen vehicle.
Narcotics seized during the operations included 2 grams of Alprazolam, 9.2 grams of crack cocaine, 1.25 grams of fentanyl, 880.17 grams of marijuana, 2 grams of MDMA, 15 grams of methamphetamine, 23 grams of mushrooms, 2.39 grams of oxycodone, 311 grams of THC pens, and 1 gram of Xanax.
The Birmingham Police Department emphasized its commitment to targeting violent crime, removing illegal firearms from the streets, and fostering positive relationships with the community through proactive enforcement.
