ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) – Monday morning inside the Good Time Lanes bowling alley in Ardmore, a celebration took place. But, it wasn’t a birthday party or a family reunion. It was a celebration for a little boy’s wish to come true.
11-year-old Ronald “RJ” Williams, is a young boy with a rare disease called MLD, a degenerative disease that causes progressive damage to his nervous system. There is no cure, but this doesn’t stop him from putting a smile on others’ faces.

“We selected five counties within our Southern Oklahoma region and as long as they live in one of those five counties, they make those selections and let us know who our children are,” Henry said.
Just last year, Valero donated $75,000 to grant wishes. But, this year they are funding RJ’s wish to go to Disney World, including the celebration held at the bowling alley.
“We’re gonna do everything we can do. No sleep,” Jacqulynn Bowlen, RJ’s mother said. “Yeah, we’re doing everything.”
RJ and his family will embark on their journey to Disney World July 8.
