OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Omaha Suburban Rotary club is bringing positivity through renovation.
Members are giving a facelift to Crestridge Elementary’s outdoor learning center.

It’s a part of their ‘Adopt a School’ program which involves partnering with local schools like Crestridge to support and provide resources.
First Alert 6 spoke to one of the club’s members who told us they’ve been working on this project every weekend since April.
“We’ve been cleaning it up, we’ve planted about 207 plants this Saturday and now we’ve got about 20 ton of mulch to put in,” Dan Lapardus said.

“There’s 9 different stations for them to be able to [engage in like] the gardening center, watering center, so forth; It’s also a place for them to relax, have lunch with their family, and teachers to come out and give [the kids] playground time.”
The group is hoping to get the outdoor learning center completely done by Sunday.
