WWE Announces Exciting News for SmackDown

From the time

SmackDown

’s move to three hours was
announced
, WWE’s
made it clear
that it was a temporary change. But as the show’s expanded runtime increasing became a negative talking point among fans and pundits — the longer time has been made a culprit in the declining quality of SmackDown, and put a spotlight on roster management issues — folks have become increasingly anxious for a return to two hours on Friday nights.

We recently heard that the change would happen
soon
… a little later than
originally thought
, but better late than never.

A few
doubts
were raised about the report that July 4’s SmackDown from Pittsburgh would be two hours. But it’s now been confirmed. Multiple times during the live stream of this week’s

SmackDown

on Netflix, Michael Cole reminded the audience that starting next Friday, the show goes back to its old runtime (he also reminded us that the Mon., June 30’s

Raw

will stream worldwide on Netflix at 6 p.m. ET, because they’ll tape the Fourth of July

SmackDown

after that).

Excited for shorter

SmackDown

s, or will you miss the extra hour?
