Maltina Spreads Joy at the Durbar Festival: An International Delight

The

ancient city of Zaria in Kaduna State came alive once again as the 2025 Durbar Festival unfolded in a spectacle of colour, pageantry, and royal heritage; and this year, popular malt beverage, Maltina, was at the heart of the celebration, spreading joy and refreshment to thousands of festival-goers.

Held annually during Eid festivities, the Durbar Festival is one of Northern Nigeria’s most enduring cultural traditions, known for its vibrant displays of horsemanship, traditional regalia, and deep expressions of communal pride. From the Emir’s grand procession to spirited parades of horsemen clad in historic attire, the festival represents unity, strength, and generational identity.

Maltina, a long-time advocate for family bonding and cultural celebration, brought its unique brand of happiness to the 2025 edition by creating lively experience zones where families and friends gathered to relax, enjoy chilled bottles of malt, play cultural games, and make memories together.

The Head of Marketing Communications at Nigerian Breweries Plc, Sandra Amachree, said, “Durbar is a celebration of heritage, community and togetherness, values we hold dear at Maltina. As a brand that has refreshed generations of Nigerians, we are proud to be part of this vibrant tradition; not just by observing it, but by contributing to the spirit of unity and refreshment that brings families, communities, and cultures together.”
