Baskin-Robbins is kicking off summer with a sweet collaboration — enlisting Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney to help launch a new line of colorful, candy-packed desserts.
Starting Tuesday, the ice cream chain will debut two limited-time creations under the ‘Sweet on Sydney’ menu.
Guests can choose between Sydney’s Signature Scoop and Sydney’s Signature Fizz.
The newest scoop snack features rainbow sherbet in a chocolate-dipped waffle cone with rainbow sprinkles and gummi bears.
Fans interested in Sydney’s fizzy beverage instead can enjoy a blend of rainbow sherbet with Starry lemon lime soda topped with gummi bears.
Customers will also be able to snag a limited-time color changing gummi bear cup while supplies last.
Sweeney has been a longtime Baskin-Robins fan whose go-to treat is always rainbow sherbet.
‘Baskin-Robbins has been part of my life for as long as I can remember — it’s where a lot of great memories were made, and I still find myself going back pretty often,’ she said.
The ice cream collaboration may come as no surprise to Sweeney fans after the actress praised Baskin Robins last year in
New York Magazine
.
‘If I’m near Baskin-Robbins, I’ll get a rainbow sherbet with gummy bears on top in a chocolate-dipped waffle cone with sprinkles. If I’m in Europe, then I usually get a raspberry sorbet,’ she said.
Sweeney has been in a number of talked-about ads that fans on social media either loved or hated.
An example is her collaboration with men’s grooming brand Dr. Squatch for a limited-edition ‘Bathwater Bliss’ soap bar, which
features droplets of Sweeney’s used bathwater
.
She also posed in a
risqué country-themed photoshoot
for HEYDUDE shoes earlier this month.
For Baskin-Robins, she toned down her scandalous personality, and embraced the chain’s latest sweet treats in a fun, goofy way.
Besides Sweeney, the ice cream chain has collaborated with famous figures like gossip reported DeuxMoi and
celebrity jeweler Susan Alexandria
.
Its also famous for hiring famous figures such as Bobby Flay, Julia Roberts, and Barack Obama before they entered the spotlight.
The summer menu wars have been exploding since McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King began
offering exclusive deals
.
Jimmy John’s fired shots by
debuting a new lemon-flavored cookie
and launching a
Summer Menu of Ultimate Temptation
.
Starbucks also brought back its
Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers
, competing with items off
Dunkin’s summer menu
.
Other summertime deals foodies can take advantage of now are available at chains like
Sonic Drive-In
and Taco Bell.
