HAMPTON, Fla. — The Marshall Rawson for State Representative campaign today announced the endorsement of High Springs City Commissioner Wayne Bloodsworth.

“We need more conservative leaders in the Florida House who are committed to building high-trust societies and putting the needs of their communities first,” said Commissioner Wayne Bloodsworth. “Marshall Rawson will do that in Tallahassee. He is a strong Christian and a man of his word, and I know he will do everything he can to protect our beautiful High Springs from overdevelopment and be a strong representative for Alachua County and the rest of District 10. I’m proud to offer him my endorsement in this race and excited to join his growing team.”

Wayne Bloodsworth was first elected to serve Seat 2 on the High Springs City Commission during a special election in March of 2024. He is a member of First Baptist Church of High Springs and is an Assistant Scoutmaster of High Springs Boy Scout Troop 69.

“I am grateful to have Commissioner Bloodsworth’s support in this campaign,” said Marshall Rawson. “As District 10’s next state representative, I will fight to preserve the deep-seated values of our rural communities and protect High Springs from turning into Gainesville. It is a privilege to work alongside Commissioner Bloodsworth to defend the city’s Blue Laws, and when we get to Tallahassee, I look forward to our continued partnership to save our small-town way of life.”

Rawson is a lifelong Floridian and owns and operates Free State Growers, an agricultural business. Previously, he served as a Washington aide and intern to Republican Congressman Paul Broun, as a legal assistant to Secretary of State Cord Byrd, and as a legal intern for the Florida Department of Agriculture. A dedicated citizen-leader, he has also been an advocate across Florida for various issues, including immigration reform, state sovereignty, and agriculture. Marshall is the past Chairman of the Greater Melrose Republican Liberty Caucus and currently serves as the North Florida Regional Director of the Republican Liberty Caucus. He also serves in the Florida State Guard and has been deployed to the Texas border to help stop illegal immigration. Marshall and his wife Megan have been married for 8 years and have four children.
