Off-Duty Officer Under Investigation: Video Sparks Controversy in Trumann

An officer from the Trumann Police Department has been placed on administrative leave after a video recording of him responding to a resistance prompted an investigation.

According to a Facebook post by TPD, Officer Will Tate didn’t engage in the act while working for the Trumann department.

“We take all matters involving officer conduct seriously, regardless of when or where they occur. The Trumann Police Department holds its officers to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity- both on and off duty,” said Trumann Police Chief Jonathon Redman.

Redman’s order will have Tate on administrative leave until the investigation concludes.
