Her bold declarations stirred mixed social media reactions, with some praising her confidence while others criticised her expectations as unrealistic
Popular TikToker Star Chelop has ignited heated discussions online after boldly stating that she cannot entertain 50/50 relationships and expects her man to go all out, financially.
What is Chelop’s stance in relationships?
In a street interview, the content creator dismissed the idea of splitting bills with a romantic partner, saying she prefers to shoulder everything herself rather than settle for an equal-split arrangement.
“Kwani watu wanafanya 50/50 huku nje? For me, it’s a no. Wacha tu nijitume nifanye 100, me vs me. I cannot be with someone and they want us to do 50/50. Kama unataka 50/50 wewe jitoe,” Chelop said.
She went on to claim that no woman truly wants a half-and-half arrangement and hinted that any man pushing for it might be financially committed elsewhere.
“There is no girl who wants 50/50, and if your boyfriend tells you to do 50/50, there is another person receiving the other 50,” she explained.
Chelop stressed that women do not necessarily want to drain their partners, but appreciate a man who puts in effort and treats them well.
Drawing from her past relationships, she revealed that she had once received a girlfriend allowance worth KSh 100,000, describing herself as lucky to have experienced that level of care.
“The most I have ever been given is KSh 100,000. I am lucky because there’s someone who doesn’t even know what that is,” she said.
When asked about the maximum amount a man should spend on her, she said it depended on his capacity, with no upper limit.
“The highest amount a guy can spend is the highest he can. Even if he has KSh 1 billion, spend that billion on me. They should spend it on me because they love me and I deserve it,” Chelop stated confidently.
She wrapped up her remarks by saying that being a soft-spoken, loyal woman who is also a good cook makes her the ideal girlfriend, and thus worthy of being pampered without limits.
Chelop’s unapologetic stance has triggered a flood of reactions on social media.
