Kathmandu, June 8 — South Korean model and reality television figure Kim Jong Seok has died at the age of 29, his family confirmed on Friday, June 6. They said that he had passed away earlier that week.
According to Indiatimes, his funeral was held on the same morning at Maru Park Funeral Home in Hanam. He was later laid to rest at Chuncheon Rest Garden and Yanggu Memorial Park.
The cause of Seok’s death has not been publicly disclosed. In the absence of official information, speculation has arisen . According to Koreaboo, the incident involved the suicide of a man in his twenties in Hanam, Gyeonggi-do. However, no official connection has been established between Seok and this event.
In response to circulating rumours, Seok’s family has urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information. His sister addressed the issue on social media, expressing the family’s distress over the speculation and announcing plans to release relevant information to clarify the circumstances surrounding his death.
Seok began his modelling career in 2014 and gained prominence through his appearance on tvN’s 2022 dating show, ‘The Skip Dating’. He was active on social media until shortly before his passing.
