Kenya’s TSC Launches Recruitment Drive: Apply Now for Human Resource Officer Roles and More Professional Openings – International Edition (English)

Kenya’s Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has advertised 15 job openings for professionals in diverse fields.

When is the deadline to apply for TSC jobs?

In an advert published in the government newspaper MyGov on Tuesday, June 3, the commission asked suitable candidates to submit their academic and professional certificates by Monday, June 16.

TSC warned applicants against presenting fake documents and submitting incorrect information, describing it as a criminal offence.

“The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 237 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. The commission invites applications from qualified, result oriented and highly motivated Kenyans to fill the positions below:

Interested and qualified candidates are requested to visit the commission website for full job description and specifications, and submit an online application not later than 23:59 hours (East African Time) on Monday, June 16, 2025,” it stated.

Which vacancies did TSC declare?

  1. Internal audit officer – one position.
  2. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) officer – one vacancy.
  3. Human resource officer I – two vacancies.
  4. Human resource officer II – four vacancies.
  5. Records management officer I – one position.
  6. Officer II – assistant office administrator – one vacancy.
  7. Assistant officer II – security warden II – one position.
  8. Assistant officer II – clerical officer II – two positions.
  9. Assistant officer III – office assistant III – two positions.

TSC noted that it is dedicated to providing fair employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, people of all ethnic groups, and men and women.

Therefore, it encouraged applications from minorities, the marginalised, and people with disabilities.

The commission reiterated that it does not charge application, processing or interview fees during the hiring process.

“Only shortlisted and successful applicants will be contacted,” it added.

How many internship vacancies did PSC announce?

At the same time, the Public Service Commission (PSC) announced 1,000 internship vacancies for teachers.

PSC noted that successful applicants will be hired and assigned to sub-county level schools, where they will support virtual learning and other associated digital platforms while also gaining real-world experience and knowledge.

Candidates must possess a bachelor of education degree from an accredited university with a focus on Information and Communication Technology, a bachelor of ICT degree, or a diploma in ICT or ICT integration in education.

PSC asked graduate teachers to apply for the 12-month programme through its online recruitment portal.

“Interested and qualified applicants are requested to make their applications online through the PSC job portal accessible by Monday, June 23,” the advert read.

Which other institutions advertised vacancies?

In related news, the Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen) announced vacant positions for its 2025 internship programme.

The European Union also invited graduates to apply for internships in diverse fields.

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) advertised managerial positions for professionals.
